Joshua LOVES books, it is so cute he will sit there and look at books and babble on and on as though he is reading them to himself. He actually did really good on the three hour car ride to and from Seward.
We hiked almost all the way up to Exit Glacier, it was nap time so JJ was not thrilled with the idea of walking around in the woods, or being carried. To keep JJ entertained, James gave him a piggyback ride and I kept handing JJ rocks that he would hold on to and then say "ready, set, GO!' as he threw them. We know it is not the safest idea to let your kid play with and throw rocks, but he loves them, and it makes for an easy toy where ever we are.
This is as far as we got on our hike, which we decided was close enough for us. The sign next to us was the spot that in 1998 you could reach out and touch the Glacier, isn't it crazy that it has moved so far away? Other than our hike, we walked around the town and the harbor and looked at some of the boats, and just enjoyed the sunny day. We decided not to go to the SeaLife Center until JJ is a bit older and actually knows what he is looking at, sorry but $20 a person is a bit much, so we will wait until he is a bit older and go on an Alaskans free day (the 10th of every month, for those of you who did not know).

I just love the drive to Seward. It is so beautiful. Glad to hear you had a good time and that JJ was so good. Roadtrips are always a gamble with kids! Great pictures! And thanks for the tip about the Sealife center...I had no idea.
